Presentation by Ron Hoffman  "ALS... Living as I Know It"

Ron Hoffman, founder and executive director, Compassionate Care ALS (CCALS.org).

CCALS is a nonprofit organization with a mission to physically and emotionally support people diagnosed with ALS with an innovative, holistic approach. With 23 years of experience working with ALS patients, Ron has worked with more than 1,600 individuals, and families living with ALS.  He has been mentored by many great teachers around the world. Ron serves in many ways as a resource for individuals and organizations around the country. Ron is the author of the book Sacred Bullet. Don Joseph Goewey is founder and president of a human performance firm focused on alleviating stress and elevating people’s experience of work and life. Prior to that, Don managed the department of psychiatry at Stanford Medical School, ran a regional emergency medical services system, and for twelve years headed ICAH, an internationally recognized institute that pioneered an approach to overcoming catastrophic life events. Don spent six years directing a research effort that integrated breakthroughs in neuropsychology into a model that changes brain structure to extinguish stress reactions and amplify the higher brain function that enables a human being to flourish.
